Comforting Hands is a new veterinary house call service in the central Maine area focusing on end of life care. Dr. Beckett provides in-home hospice care and euthanasia for elderly and ill pets.
Our pets can sometimes find visiting a brick and mortar veterinary hospitals overwhelming and often when old age or illness has taken its toll they are unable to comfortably ride to a clinic. Sometimes it is the owner that finds the busy environment of a traditional veterinary hospital stressful. Perhaps your pet gets motion sickness, or is scared of their carrier. Whatever the reason, Dr. Nathan Beckett founded Comforting Hands in order to provide end of life care for these beloved pets in the familiarity and comfort of their own homes. His goal is to make these already emotionally difficult appointments as stress free as possible for pets and their owners.
Dr. Beckett believes that helping pets end their journey on Earth painlessly, with dignity and comfort is one of the most sacred and important parts of being a veterinarian. By offering these services in-home he hopes to bring peace to pets and their families in the environment in which they are most at ease.
